Welcome to the full body of results associated with: "Characterization of vein networks formed by P. polycephalum" - M. Dirnberger and K. Mehlhorn

This collection of data documents various characteristic properties of networks of the slime mold Physarum Polycephalum in detail.
All observables described in the manuscript mentioned above can be found. In addition to that, detailed results of all numerical experiments
are given. This includes raw data and plots for all available observables computed for all available data series, down to the level of individual graphs.
The data can be used to gain a qualitative understanding of many aspects of the slime mold P. polycephalum. We hope that our data will proof useful in future research efforts.

This dataset is documented in a straight forward way. You will find frequently encounter README files. They contain concise descriptions of the folders they are placed in. Phrased otherwise, they tell you the most important things that you need to know to understand a given selection of data. You should always read the README files.

Contains python code used to obtain all the results presented in this dataset. It can easily be adapted to compute new observables.

analysis_data:

The raw results of executing the analysis code with the KIST Europe data set as input. 
Consult the local README files for a list of available observables.

manuscript:

Contains the main manuscript reporting an overview of select results.

plotting:

Contains python code that reads the contents of analysis_data to produce various plots.

results:

Collects the plots produces with the contents of the plotting folder.
